We're not full of hot air...

Here at Aprés Food Co. we take food seriously and believe it has the power to make us feel amazing everyday. We take pride in our knowledge of functional nutritional medicine and as a certified fully qualified nutritional therapist, Catherine has created a menu that crams as many nutrients in as possible to every delicious dish.

Catherine studied at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, in Richmond London, for 4 years, qualifying with distinction in 2013 in their internationally renowned Nutritional Therapy course.  The NTDC was one of the first courses to obtain accreditation by the Nutritional Therapy Education Commission (NTEC) reflecting the quality and rigour of the learning.

ION’s philosophical approach is founded in Functional Medicine, which is a science-based, holistic, patient-centred approach to assessment, prevention and the management of complex health problems and chronic disease. The aim is to identify biochemical and physiological imbalances that may be causing health problems, and address these principally through nutrition, lifestyle management and behavioural change.

A little more on functional medicine

Functional medicine is a practice that doesn’t focus on singular symptom-based treatment but rather looks at the patient's whole lifestyle to identify root causes and increase wellness at an overall level.

But how does that relate to Aprés Food Co.? Well, we believe health starts with the food you eat. We take great care in using natural and nutrient rich ingredients to create dishes that taste amazing and leave you feeling good.

The Institute for Functional Medicine

The Institute for Functional Medicine teaches health care professional’s how to apply these principles in practice through an intensive 5-day training course called Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice™.

Catherine attended and completed the AFMCP™-UK training in London in 2015.
