Catherine Sharman, the founder of Après, is a passionate and well respected chef who, due to her own health concerns, trained as a Functional Nutritionist. Given that she really (really!) loves food and couldn’t find the food her body craved, knew that if she craved this type of food, that others would too...and so Après Food was born.

​

Catherine decided to create a collection of healthy meals for everyone - all designed around our body’s needs to support peak health. Restaurant quality, certified organic, home cooked, frozen meals that are nutritionally functional for your body is what Après is all about. Using incredible organic produce from local suppliers with sustainability at their core, Après chefs lovingly prepare everyone’s favourite meals in small batches.

 

With a little love and support, we can all begin to overcome struggles with our health, using the power of good nutritionally considered food.

Après meals are more about what you can eat than what you can’t and are designed to support areas of health you are concerned about, such as IBS, heart health, diabetes, weight reduction and menopause.

WHAT IS FUNCTIONAL FOOD?

Things we eat will contribute to our well-being and issues with our health. Although it’s the combination of many things we do that lead to us feeling unhealthy or unmotivated ...and ultimately to chronic illness, it’s the food choices we make that contributes to this the most.

We are all unique, biologically, nutritionally and chemically, which is why most fad diets won’t work. They might, but they probably won’t. This is because they focus primarily on the food and not the person who is eating it. That’s where Après organic ready meals are different.
